Picking up cats and making them dance is not cute

I keep seeing tiktók videos of people picking up their cat under the arms and dancing with then, or holding them up and moving their paws like they’re doing a tiktók dance. Cats are not toys, they don’t like being held like that and it can be painful for them. There’s nothing cute about treating a cat like that.

Sometimes the people will say “well if he really didn’t want to do it you would know” and that’s so messed up because 1) sometimes you can clearly tell by their body language that they’re uncomfortable and 2) you should not have to push a cat to the point of self defense to know when you’re upsetting it. These people should not have cats.
