Answer:

-100

Step-by-step explanation:

Let The total amount of money be Z

Let the amount of money spent on hand bag be H

Let the amount of money spent on dress be D

Let the amount of money spent on Belt be B

H = 2/5 x Z = 2Z/5

H = 2(20+ B) = 40 + 2B

; 2Z/5 = 40+2B

( cross multiply)

2Z =200 + 10B

= 2Z - 10B = 200……{1}

3Z/5 = belt and dress = (20 + B ) + B = 20 + 2B

; 3Z/5 = 20 + 2B

( cross multiply)

3Z = 100 + 10B

3Z - 10B = 100……{2}

2Z - 10B = 200……{1}

3Z - 10B = 100……{2}

-Z = 100

Z = -100

{ I think your question is wrong.  I believe that’s the place with 2/5 in the question is mea  to be 3/5. if it was so, the answer would have been 100 and not -100 }
