If all the pipes are opened together, the tank gets filled in 5 minutes

Solution:

Given that,

Pipe A can fill a tank in 6 minutes

Therefore,

Pipe A fills \frac{1}{6} of the tank in 1 minute

Pipe B alone can fill it in 10 minutes

Therefore,

Pipe B fills \frac{1}{10} of the tank in 1 minute

Pipe C can empty the full tank in 15 minutes

Therefore,

Pipe C empties \frac{1}{15} of the tank in 1 minute

If all the pipes are opened together how much time will be needed to make a tank full

\rightarrow \frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{10} - \frac{1}{15}\\\\\rightarrow \frac{1 \times 5}{6 \times 5} + \frac{1 \times 3}{10 \times 3} - \frac{1 \times 2}{15 \times 2}\\\\\rightarrow \frac{5}{30} + \frac{3}{30} - \frac{2}{30}\\\\\rightarrow \frac{5 + 3 - 2}{30}\\\\\rightarrow \frac{6}{30} = \frac{1}{5}

Thus, if all the pipes are opened together, the tank gets filled in 5 minutes
