In square ABCD,
area of square =
 {s}^{2}
there fore,
area= 14*14= 196 cm sq

Now,
As P,Q,R,S are mid points of respective sides the 4 quatric circles together make 1 full circle.
area of circle =
\pi {r}^{2}
= 22/7 * 7*7. (as 14 is the diameter)
= 154 cm sq

Area of unruled portion = (Area of square) - (Area of circle)

= 196-154
= 42 cm sq
