If we place a de-shelled egg in water for five minutes then at first the white portion of the egg slowly starts to dissolve in the water.

If the temperature of the water will increase then the process will start to happen faster. If the salt content of the water will increase more so the egg will start to shrink as the egg lose the water by the semi permeable membrane.
