Places in which satyagraha movement was organised and why

Satyagraha movements were successfully organised by Mahatma Gandhi in various places after arriving in India. He organised a satyagraha at Champaran in Bihar in 1916 to inspire the peasants to struggle against the oppressive plantation system.                                                                                                                                     He then organised a satyagraha to support the peasants of the Kheda district of Gujarat, in 1917.

 A satyagraha movement was organised in Ahmedabad, in 1918, amongst cotton mill workers.
