Plains of India are densely populated due to the fine alluvium deposits which makes the plain very fertile. Hence, many farmers prefer to settle here, people also settle here as it is the best land form
for human settlement and it has the most facilities like transportation, communication etc. and is the easiest to travel on and as there is more availability of food and transport technology develops providing all facilities for human life.
