Planets don't twinkle because they are closer, and thus appear larger in our sky, as tiny disks instead of pinpoints

Planets are relatively closer than stars. Planets can be termed as group of points of point sized sources of light, the total fluctuation in the amount of light entering our eye from all the point sized sources will average out to zero. Thus there is no twinkling.
