plants absorb water from the soil that means plants absorb water from the soil by the roots.and this water which is absorbed from the roots is then transported to the total body of the plant.vascular bundles play a vital role in transporting/absorbing the water.so as we know vascular bundles parts are xylem and phloem.and the xylem transports water from the roots to the all the parts of plant.where phloem transports the food/which is prepared in the leaves by the process photosynthesis from the leaves to all parts of body.and by this xylem the water reaches to the top of the trees too.
