Answer:

single-celled organisms are in constant contact with their environments, obtaining nutrients and oxygen directly across the cell surface. The same holds true for small and simple plants and animals, such as algae, bryophytes, sponges, cnidarians, and flatworms. Larger and more complex plants and animals require methods for transporting materials to and from cells far removed from the external environment. These organisms have evolved transport systems

Explanation:

As plants don't have the circulatory system, but they have 2 parts like our circulatory system.

1) Xylem

2) Phloem

a) Xylem transports water to other parts of the plant.

b) Phloem transports protiens, sugars and other organic things to the other parts of the plant.

c) Any time if you have seen the leaves of pipal tree or any other tree, there are some lines on the leaf, and they are the veins.

These veins are embedded with these Xylem & Phloem and sends the food to other parts of the plant.
