Answer:

Anopheles

Explanation:

Anopheles is a type of mosquito . In addition to it , the difference between male and female anopheles is based on the mode of consumption of food . Male mosquitoes usually feed on the nectar of flowers whereas female mosquitoes depend on the mammal blood for its food . As previously said , it's because male Anopheles mosquitoes don't feed on animals , but on plants ( they need mainly sugar to survive ) . On the other end , female Anopheles mosquitoes need blood because it is essential for egg production . Malaria is transmitted to humans by female mosquitoes of the genus Anopheles . Female mosquitoes take blood meals for egg production , and these blood meals are the link between the human and the mosquito hosts in the parasite life cycle .
