Plasmodium is a protozoan which causes malaria. 

It requires two host to complete its life cycle.

The primary host is man and secondary host is female anopheles mosquito.

The plasmodium enters the human body through the vector female anopheles mosquito.
 
After entering the body it travels to the liver and starts multiplying.

It then attacks the red Blood Cells of the body resulting in the rupture of the cells releasing the toxin known as hemozoin.

This toxin is responsible for the Chills in the body.
