Plaster of paris are stored in air tight packs or nin wet places why?

plaster of Paris should B stored in moister proof container or air tight packs coz the presence of moisture can cause slow setting of plaster of Paris by bringing abt its duration .this will make the plaster of Paris useless after sometime.hope it helps..... plz mark as brainliest**
