1) we can use cloth or jute bag when we go for shopping.

2) many shopkeepers give things in plstic bags, we can refuse them and encourage then to give paper bags instead.

3) things like milk come in plastic, instead of using such milk stored in plastics, we can go and buy token milk.

4) we can spread awareness among people about the harm affects of plastic and encourage them to reduce it.
