plateau regions in india do not support agriculture as much as the plain regions-what are the reasons for this?

because the plateau regions are not flat and crops cannot grow there
and because agriculture is not there so people dont live there

BECAUSE THE PLAIN REGIONS ARE COMFORTABLE FOR FARMING. the plateau  region does not support the farming too . the plain land have the absorbity of water whreas the plateaus do not have capability to absorb water
