Plateau regions in india donot support agriculture as much as the plain regions what are the reasons for this

The simple reason is that the plains were formed by the rivers of Northern India which bring fertile alluvium deposits. Plateaus are not formed by rivers.

2.PLAINS HAVE FLAT SURFACE WITH GENTLE SLOPES
3.PLATEAUS HAVE RUGGED SURFACE WITH STEEP EDGES
4.DUE TO LACK OF FLOW OF MANY RIVERS,UNDER WATER FACILITY,NO RAINFALL
5.HENCE PLATEAUS DONOT SUPPORT AGRICULTURE AS MUCH AS PLAINS
