Plateaus are less populated in comparison to plains. Why?

because plains have rich agricultural ,river,flora and fauna than plateau

Plateaus are rich in mineral. this mining causes a lot of pollution
Plains are rich in alluvial and fertile soil thus supporting agriculture which forms the backbone of the copy of our country
