Answer:

sure y not tho

explanation:

so, easy thing. 10 is greater than 5. isnt it? 10 is bigger number than 5. so 10 > 5.

the digit which is on the open side of this sign ">" is the bigger one. and the one which is on the pointed side is smaller.

"=" means they are equal.

for example :-

9+1=10

10=10

i hope this helps. if still some doubf tell me

Answer:

Greater than or lesser than fractions:

when given these questions you are usually asked to find which is greater or which is lesser or to arrange in ascending or descending order.

For example,

1. Arrange the following in ascending and descending order:\frac{1}{3},\frac{1}{4},\frac{2}{5},\frac{3}{7},\frac{4}{9}

Sol: First step to find the answer is to make all the denominators of the fraction equal. For this you have to find out the LCM of the denominators.

Here, LCM of 3,4,5,7,9 is to be found which is 1260.

Now convert all the denominators to 1260. To do this divide the denominator by 1260 and multiply the numerator and the denominator by the number obtained.

The first fraction 1260÷3=420

\frac{1}{3}×\frac{420}{420}=\frac{420}{1260}

Similarly,

\frac{1}{4}×\frac{315}{315}=\frac{315}{1260}

\frac{2}{5}×\frac{252}{252}=\frac{504}{1260}

\frac{3}{7}×\frac{180}{180}=\frac{540}{1260}

\frac{4}{9}×\frac{140}{140}=\frac{560}{1260}

Now we can arrange in ascending order:

\frac{560}{1260}>\frac{540}{1260} > \frac{504}{1260}>\frac{420}{1260}>\frac{315}{1260}

\frac{4}{9}>\frac{3}{7} >\frac{2}{5}> \frac{1}{3}>\frac{1}{4}

In descending order:

\frac{315}{1260}< \frac{420}{1260} <\frac{504}{1260} <\frac{540}{1260}<\frac{560}{1260}

\frac{1}{4} <\frac{1}{3}< \frac{2}{5}<\frac{3}{7} <\frac{4}{9}

Here \frac{1}{4} is the fraction with the least value and \frac{4}{9} is the fraction with the highest value.

(Hope it helps. Please mark as brainliest if it does.)
