Given:

The resistance of all the coils is the same. Let it be R.

The equivalent resistance of the given circuit is 1 ohm.

Explanation:

Please refer the attachment first for better understanding.

Between point P and x:

Three resistors are connected in parallel

\sf{\dfrac{1}{R_p} = \dfrac{1}{R}+ \dfrac{1}{R}+\dfrac{1}{R}} \\ \\ \sf{R_p = \dfrac{R}{3}\: ohm}

Between point P and Q:

R/3 and R are connected in series combination and their combination is in parallel with R.

\sf{R_s =\dfrac{R}{3} +R }\\ \\ \sf{R_s =\dfrac{4R}{3 }}

Now,

\sf{\dfrac{1}{R_{net}} =\dfrac{1}{R_s} + \dfrac{1}{R}}\\ \\ \sf{\dfrac{1}{R_{net}} =\dfrac{1}{R_s} + \dfrac{1}{R}}\\ \\ \sf{\dfrac{1}{1} =\dfrac{3}{4R} + \dfrac{1}{R}}\\ \\ \boxed{\sf{R =\dfrac{7}{4} ohm}}

The resistance of each coil is 7/4 ohm.
