Hey!!!
Good Afternoon
____________
let the fixed rent be Rs.x and the mess charges be Rs.y
Then ATQ,
Case 1
=> x + 2y = 3900
=> x = 3900 - 2y ------(1)
Case 2
=> x + 5y = 7500
=> x = 7500 - 5y -------(2)
Equating (1) and (2)
=> 3900 - 2y = 7500 - 5y
=> 3y = 3600
=> y = 1200
Using y in (1)
=> x = 3900 - 2(1200)
=> x = 1500
Thus the fixed rent is Rs.1500 and mess charges is Rs.1200.

Let the rent of the house be "Rs x " and the mess charges for a person be " Rs y "
The total monthly expenditure is Rs 3900 for 2 people so we get equation
x + 2y = 3900
And Rs 7500 for 5 people so we get another equation
x + 5y = 7500
Subtracting equation 1 from equation 2 we get
3y = 3600
y = 1200
putting ( y = 1200 ) in equation 1
x + 2( 1200 ) = 3900
x = 3900 - 2400
x = 1500
so the monthly fixed rent us Rs 1500 and mess charges per head is Rs 1200
