as we know, area of an equilateral triangle is root3/4*a^2
therefore,
here we are given with,
the area of equilateral triangle,
that is,
root3/4*9
on comparing,
we get, a^2=9
therefore a=3
hence the side of an equilateral triangle is 3cm.
I hope it would help you,if you like it then please mark it as brainiest please

 <font color = black > here we go....

⊙ We know that the formula of area of an equilateral triangle is :-

 \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4}  \times (side) {}^{2}

 \frac{  \sqrt{3} }{4}  \times (side) {}^{2}  = 9cm {}^{2}

(side) {}^{2}  =  \frac{36}{ \sqrt{3} }

side \sqrt{ \frac{36}{ \sqrt{3} } }

side = 4.558 cm

Hope it helps you

Thanks for asking....
