lets say final temp. of mixture=T
so heat emitted by 500g hot water=500*4.2*(100-T)
and heat absorbed by comparatively cold water =300*4.2*(T-30)

by energy conservation.
absorbed =emmited
300*(T-30) =500*(100-T)
3T-90=500-5T
8T=590
T=73.75 or 73.8 degree celcius.

this one also is based on same formulae as well as same concept.

imp note***
you would be confusing that at one place i took T-30 as temprature difference (i mean delta T). while at another place i took 100-T.
this is why T is greater than 30 but less than 100. so take make delta T positive i did so.
