Answer: pH of solution will be 13.8

Explanation:

pH or pOH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of a solution.

pH is calculated by taking negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration and pOH is calculated by taking negative logarithm of hydroxide ion concentration.

Ca(OH)_2\rightarrow Ca^{2+}+2OH^-

1 mole of Ca(OH)_2 produces 2 moles of OH^-

Thus 0.36 moles of Ca(OH)_2 will produce 2\times 0.36=0.72 moles of OH^-

pOH=-log{OH^-}

pOH=-log{0.72}=0.14

pH+pOH=14

pH=14-0.14=13.8

Thus pH of solution will be 13.8
