Roast ham costs 80p for 100g. How much will 250g cost?

In 30 minutes, 40 litres of water runs through a pipe. How much water will run through the pipe in 12 minutes?

100g =80p

1g= 100÷80

=1.25p

250 g= 250×1.25

= 312.5p

(b)

30 min =40 litres

1 min = 30/40

=0.75 litres

12 min = 12×0.75

=9litres
