1. No, he will not get positive starch test as the plant is kept in darkness for a long time. Hence, sunlight is not provided to the plant. In the absence of sunlight , the plant will not be able to prepare its food. Because sunlight is the essential component for the photosynthesis to take place. Therefore, the starch is not formed in the plant.


2. It is parasitic as it is non-green and thus cannot prepare its own food. So, it derive its nutrition from the host plant.
And this mode of nutrition is known as Parasitic mode of nutrition.
