Answer:

• Given - 5x+ 6 , 14x + 3

• To find - value of x

• Solution -

Qor is a straight line , sum of thus angles is 180°

5x + 6 + 14x + 3 = 180

5x + 14x + 3 + 6 = 180

19x + 9 = 180

19x = 180 - 9

19x = 171

x = 171/19

X= 9

5x + 6 = 5× 9 + 6= 51°

14x + 3 = 14× 9 + 3= 129°

Answer:

(5x +6)° + (14x +3)° = 180° ( linear pair angles)

= ( 5x +14x ) + ( 6+3 )= 180°

19x + 9 = 180°

19x = 180-9

19x = 171

x = 171/19

x=9°

Proof:

( 5x +6)° + ( 14x +3)° = 180

(5(9)+6)° + ( 14(9)+3)°= 180
