A)1. Particles have inter-particle spaces between them.

2. Particles of matter attract each othe, which is strongest in case of solid, little less in case of liquid and least in case of gases.

Hey sis!!

Matter does show these 2 characteristics.

DIFFUSION :-

Diffusion is the movement of a substance from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration. Diffusion happens in liquid and Gases because their particles move randomly from place to place.

for example... if you burn an incense stick (agarrbatti ;) ) in a corner of room.. you may observe that the smell reached in whole room.

which is due to diffusion of incense stick smoke particles through air.

BROWNIAN MOTION :-

the random movement of microscopic particles in a fluid, as a result of continuous bombardment from molecules of the surrounding medium.

unlike diffusion, this happens due to bombardment (collision) of particles to others , not mixing with each other .

hope it helps..
