((ANS1))Vas deferens →Male reproductive system
Follapian tube →Female reproductive system.
Explanation:
In a bit detail now:
Vas deferens is about 45cmlong duct of male reproductive tract. Spermatids produced in the testes after meiotic division differentiate into mature sperms. These sperms are then transferred to vas deferens via its first highly convoluted part i.e epididymis. The vas deferens then transport the sperms to the ejaculatory duct and urethra.
Follapian tube also known as uterine tube is about 10cmlong duct of female(mammalian) reproductive tract. Fertilization of egg takes place at proximal end of follapian tube. The fertilized egg stays in follapian tube for 3−4days. Hence it provide protection to the egg released from the ovary and serve as carrier for its safe transportation to the uterus.
((ANS 2)) Zygote vs Embryo
A zygote or a zygocyte is the original cell that comes to creation when a new organism is formed through sexual reproduction. A zygote is formed from the synthesis resulting out of the union of the two distinctive gametes. On the other hand the embryo is the mutlicellular diploid eukaryote in one of the early stages of development. The eukaryote is termed as the embryo, in humans, 8 weeks past the fertilization.
The term ‘zygote’ comes from the root Greek word ‘zygotos’ meaning yoked or ‘to yoke’ or ‘joined’ or to ‘join’. On the other hand, embryo comes from the root Latin word ’embryum’ meaning ‘that which grows’.
((ANS 3))Embryo vs. fetus
- The terms embryo and fetus both refer to the developing baby inside the mother’s womb (uterus).
- The distinction between embryo and fetus is made based on gestational age.
- An embryo is the early stage of human development in which organs are critical body structures are formed.
- An embryo is termed a fetus beginning in the 11th week of pregnancy, which is the 9th week of development after fertilization of the egg.
- A zygote is a single-celled organism resulting from a fertilized egg. The zygote divides to become a ball of cells that eventually implants in the wall of the uterus.
- This ball of cells, known as a blastocyst, develops into the embryo and placenta.
- Doctors date pregnancy from the first day of the last menstrual period.
