In mature girl one egg or ovum is produced by ovary. This egg or ovum waits in the oviduct for fertilisation for 2-3days,and if it is not fertilised then it is released from the body with blood, this is called menstruation.
This phase reappear after every 28 days, called menstruation cycle.
