Using v^2-u^2=2aS
As it is dropped, u=0
v^2=2aS
v=3. (given)

Using v^2-u^2=2aS
And S=9/2a. (from (i))
u= 4. (given)
v^2-(4)^2=2aS
v^2-16= 2a*9/2a
Cancelling 2a and 1/2a
