sin∅ + cos ∅=√2

asin∅+bcos∅=c

.

divide \: equation \: by \:  \sqrt{a ^{2} +  b ^{2} }

dividing with √2 both sides

1/√2sin∅ + 1/√2 cos∅=1 ........(1)

sin(45°)=cos(45°)=1/√2

(1).... becomes cos (45°)sin(∅) + sin(45)cos(∅)=sin(90°). [ because sin(90°)=1]

CosASinB + CosBsinA=Sin(A+B)

so above equation becomes

sin(45 +∅)= sin(90)

45+ ∅=90

∅=45

From question b=√2(sin∅+cos∅)/sin∅cos∅

here sin∅=cos∅=sin(45)=cos(45)=1/√2

b=√2( 1/√2 +1/√2 )/[1/√2×1/√2]

b=√2(2/√2)/[1/2]=2/[1/2]=4

apurvaa200297: I think you will get doubt why I divided the equation with √( a^2 + b^2)
apurvaa200297: you will get that doubt cleared when you learn that chapter
apurvaa200297: you will get that doubt cleared when you learn that chapter
apurvaa200297: for now it's better do trial error and get the angle =45 in first equation
INDIANvMA: O wow
