A MIXTURE OF ETHYNE Nd OXYGEN IS USED AS THEY PROVIDE THE PERFECT WELDING TEMPERATURE WHICH ETHYNE AND AIR CAN'T PROVIDE.

BEST OF LUCK!!

heya sis ...best of luck and here is ur ans

a mixture of ethyne and air is not used because in the air there will be a large proportion of nitrogen but nitrogen doesnt support combustion thats why a mixture of ethyne and oxygen is used.

hope it helps ..pls mark as brainliest

ishika7968: Thanks for the answer and wishes too❤️
ishika7968: Done...
shubhamsharma052004: When ethyne is burnt in air, it gives a sooty flame. This is due to incomplete combustion caused by limited supply of air. However, if ethyne is burnt with oxygen, it gives a clean flame with temperature 3000°C because of complete combustion. This oxy-acetylene flame is used for welding.
ishika7968: Thank you so much broo
