Describe the different sections in a library.

The different sections of a library are classified on basis of their genre, their type etc. The basic classification is the division into adults section and children's section. The broader sections are given below:
→ Stack section:
This section has no special characteristics. The rooms in which the books are stacked are known as stack section.
→ Reading room:
Certain periodicals, rare books etc. cannot be borrowed and can only be read in the library premises. The reading room is where members can read such books.
→ Periodical section:
Contains rare books, magazines and periodicals.
→ Catalogue room:
Section where the library catalogue in both hard copy and digitalized version are kept.
→ The E Section:
Contains CDs, cassettes, E-journals etc. basically for electronic content.
→ Camp section:
This section is not always active. It is exclusively for reading weeks, summer camps etc. for both children and adults.
→ Back Volume section:
Usually located close to the periodical section, they contain old back volumes of specific newspapers, magazines, copies of archived documents etc.
→ Uni-science section:
Contains books related to science, science journals, university catalogues etc.
→ Membership section:
For members to start or withdraw their membership.
→ Circulation section:
To take or give back borrowed books.
→ Administration wing:
Looks after the management, recruitment, buying books etc. of the complete library.
