Answer:

Magnesium is a metal and Hydrochloric acid is an acid.

We know that,

Metal + Acid → Metal Salt + Hydrogen

=> Magnesium + Hydrochloric acid → Magnesium chloride + Hydrogen

Equation: Mg + 2 HCl → MgCl₂ + H₂

This is the required answer !
