❇ x + y = 5 ----> ( 1 )

2x - 3 y = 4 ----> ( 2)

Now, multiplying equation 1 by 3,

We get, 3 x + 3 y = 15 ----> ( 3)

Adding equation 3 and 2,

2x - 3y + 3 x + 3 y = 4 + 15

5x = 19

X = 19 / 5

Putting value of x in equation 1,

x + y = 5

19 / 5 + y = 5

y = 5 - 19 / 5

y = 25 - 19 / 5

y = 6 / 5

➩ x = 19 / 5 , y = 6 /5.
