on simplifying we get(cross multiplying) =

4x+8=3y+9

4x - 3y = 1 --------(1)

also,

\frac{x-3}{y-6} =\frac{4}{3}

on cross multiplying we get,

3x - 9 = 4y - 24

3x - 4y = -15 --------(2)

comparing (1) and (2) we get,

4x - 3y = 1

3x - 4y = -15

solving using substitution method we get,

x = 7

and y =  9

thus the fraction is equal to:

\frac{7}{9}

Therefore sum = 7+9 = 16
