The Indians are actually to be blamed for British rule in India. The Indians had invited the British to seek help from them to send away the Burmese from India. The British made a plan to help the Indians against the Burmese to send them away from India, then they slowly started capturing India and ultimately after sending the Burmese away from India, they established British rule in India.
