The vivipary automatically limits the number of offsprings in a litter due to the reason that limited number of eggs are produced and fertilized during female reproductive cycle called oestrus cycle in non-primates and menstrual cycle in primates. Also during gestation period, these cyclic changes stop in females and no more eggs are produced and fertilized.
