I recently participated in the inter-class elocution contest and I won the first prize. The poem chosen by me was "A new tomorrow". Before the contest, I started to memorize the poem and it took me one week to memorize it. Finally, it was the day where I get to read my poem in front of many people including the judges, I was nervous and panicking whether I should change some of the lines of my poem but it was worth trying. After hearing that I got the first prize, I was happy and surprised maybe the judges thought that my poem is the best. When I told my parents, they were proud of me, and my teachers and friends too said " Congratulations" for winning the first prize in the contest. Maybe sometimes, I hope I can meet you again.
