(a+5)x^2+13x+6

let p and q be the roots of the following equation

by given condition p=1/q

pq=1

and we also know that product of roots is c/a

therefore

pq=6/a+5

a+5=6

a=1

therefore the value of a is 1

omkarsinghc: is the answer right

Given ::- (a+5)x² + 13x + 6

The roots are α and 1/α

To find ::- value of a

Solution. ::-

Comparing the given equation with,

ax²+bx+c=0

Here, a=(a+5), b=13 , c=6

α + 1/α = -b/a

= -(13)/(a+5)

α × 1/α = c/a

1 = 6/(a+5)

(a+5) = 6

a. =. 6-5

a. = 1

Therefore the value of a is 1
