Given :-

  • The product of two rational numbers is =  \frac{ - 3}{16}
  • One of them is= \frac{5}{32}

What to find out = other rational number?

Solution :-

Let the other rational number be = x

As question :-

 \frac{ 5}{32}  + x =  -  \frac{3}{16}  \\  \\  \\ x =  - ( \frac{3}{16}  +  \frac{5}{32} ) \\  \\ x =  - ( \frac{6 + 5}{32} ) \\  \\  \\ x =  -  \frac{11}{32}

Hence other rational number is=

 -  \frac{11}{32}

Check the solution :-

 \frac{5}{32}  + x =  -  \frac{3}{16}  \\  \\ put \: the \: value \: of \: x \\  \\  \\  \frac{5}{32}   -   \frac{11}{32}  =  -  \frac{3}{16}  \\  \\  \\  -  \frac{6}{32}  =  -  \frac{  3}{16}  \\  \\  \\   - \frac{  3}{16}  =  -  \frac{3}{16 }  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  checked
