Aman's age is three times his son's age. ten years ago he was five times his son's age. find their present ages.

Let's the son's age be x year
Aman's present age be 3 years

10 years ago son's age = x - 10
Aman's age = 3x - 10
3x - 10 = 3 (x - 10)
3x - 10 = 5x - 50
3x - 5x =  - 50  + 10
 - 2x =  \binom{40}{2}

x = 20
Son's present age is 20 years
Aman's present age is 20*3
=60 years
