Hy there,
Let the no. Of 5₹ note be x and 10₹ note be y.
Total amount =530
Implies 5x+10y=530.

Total no of notes=79
Implies x+y=79

Now we have 2 equations,
5x+10y=530
x+y=79
From Eq 2, x=79-y
Substituting the value of x in Eq 1,
5(79-y)+10y=530
Implies 395-5y+10y=530
Implies 5y=530-395
Implies 5y=135
Implies y=135/5=27

Finding the value of x,
Since x+y=79
Implies x+27=79
Implies x=79-27
Implies x=52

So, there were 52 notes of 5₹ and 27 notes of 10₹.
Hope it helps
Thanks.

let
5 rupee notes =ax5
therefore
10 rupee notes =(79- a)x 10
BQ/
5a + (79-a) x 10=530
5a+790 - 10a = 530
-5a = -260
a=52
total 5 rupee notes 52
& 10 rupee note =79 - 52
=27
