Answer:

1] Hydrated Ferric Oxid

2] a) The iron salt is ferrous sulphate (FeSO4).

b) When we heat ferrous sulphate crystals, they lose water and ferrous sulphate (FeSO4) is formed. On further heating, ferrous sulphate decomposes to form ferric oxide (Fe2O3), sulphur dioxide(SO2) and sulphur trioxide (SO3 ). So, the gas emitted smells like burning sulphur.

3] It is decomposition reaction,

Equation : 2FeSO4 ➠ Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3

Note

★FeSO4 = Ferrous Sulphate

★Fe2O3 = Ferric Oxide

★SO2 = Sulphur Dioxide

★SO3 = Sulphur Trioxide.
