How is Oxygen and Carbon dioxide transported in human beings

Oxygen reacts with haemoglobin in red blood corpuscles of our blood and forms a compound named oxyhaemoglobin. This compound is then taken by RBCs to all parts of body.
Similarly carbon dioxide also racts with haemoglobin and is transported in the same manner.
