and the age of the son be y years

By Condition

5(x)=12(y)
5x=12y
x = 12y/5

After three years

x+3=2(y+3)+10
x+3= 2y+6+10
x=2y+16-3
x=2y+13

Put the value of x

12y/5=2y+13
12y=5(2y+13)
12y=10y+65
2y=65
y=65/2 years


x=2y+13
x=2(65/2)+13
x=65+13=78 years
