GiveN :-

  • Length of BC = 12 cm

  • Length of AD = 3 cm

  • Length of CE = 4cm

To FinD

  • Length of AB

SolutioN :-

Area of ∆ ABC in which AD is height and BC is base

\longrightarrow \sf Area =  \frac{1}{2} \times  AD \times BC \\  \\\longrightarrow \sf Area = \frac{1}{2}  \times 3 \times 12 \\  \\\longrightarrow \sf Area =3 \times 6 \\  \\\longrightarrow \sf Area =18  \: {cm}^{2}

Now area of ∆ ABC is which CE is height and AB is base

\longrightarrow \sf Area =  \frac{1}{2} \times  EC  \times AB \\  \\\longrightarrow \sf18 =   \frac{1}{2}  \times 4 \times AB \\  \\\longrightarrow \sf AB =  \frac{18}{2} \\  \\\longrightarrow \sf AB = 9 \: cm
