angle ABD = 90 .... ( angle inscribed in semicircle )

in triangle ABD
by pythagoras theorem
AD = 5cm
OA =r = 2.5cm

circumference(perimeter) of semicircle =
$\frac{2\pi \: r}{2} = \frac{2 \times 3.14 \times 2.5}{2} = 7.85$
primeter of remaining region is 7.85 cm
