let units place be x
let tens place be y
Number will be 10x+y

ATQ:

10x+y= 6y
10x=5y                                            -1

Also, given that x+y=9
x=9-y                                  -2

Putting in 1
10(9-y)=5y
90-10y=5y
90=15y
y=6
putting in 2
x=9-y
x=9-6
x=3

Put x at tens place and y at ones place= 10x+y= 10*3+6= 30+6= 36

Hope this helped mark as best pls

utkarsh87: answer is wrong correct answer is 36

let the unit digit of number be x
tens digit =9-x
Number = 10(x)+9-x
=9x-9
=9(x-1)
A/q
9(x-1) = 6x
x-1 = 6x/9
x-1 =2x/3
3x-3 =2x
3x-2x = 3
x = 3
number = 9(3-1)
= 9(2)
=18
