GIVEN; 3x-4y=10,xy=-1

TO FIND;9x^2 + 16y^2

SOLUTION:9x^2 + 16y^2= (3x)^2 + (4y)^2

FORMULA;a^2+b^2=(a-b)^2 + 2ab

(3x)^2 + (4y)^2= (3x-4y)^2 + 2(3x)(4y)

=(3x-4y)^2+24xy

=(10)^2 + 24(-1)

=100-24

(3x-4y)^2=76
